Glass facades and elements are particularly popular in transport termini, where the open and clean lines of the element fit well with contemporary architecture.

However this glass could be exposed to significant loadings from wind, crowd pressure, vandalism and even terrorist attack. The performance specification for the use of glass in this type of project is often exacting, requiring specialist design techniques and a wealth of experience.
